Introduction
Introducing the Community for Glucose Management (C.G.M.)
C.G.M. is designed to be a sanctuary where diabetics and their loved ones can connect, share, and support each other. As the current sole member, I’ll begin by sharing my own journey and insights. I’ll also feature stories of diabetic athletes and role models, with the hope of inspiring others to contribute their own experiences and knowledge.
Cycling has been a pivotal part of my diabetes management, significantly enhancing my quality of life through challenging times. Therefore, you’ll find a strong focus on cycling and other sports that benefit diabetic athletes. My vision for C.G.M. is to expand this focus and highlight various sports and training regimens that can support our community.
My goal is to create a space where people with type 1 diabetes can come together to offer and receive support, guidance, and understanding. At 33 years old, I am still learning and seeking help, and I hope to build this community to provide a network for those navigating the unique challenges of diabetes. It’s important to me that we prevent others, especially the 350,000 children with diabetes, from feeling as isolated and unsupported as I did in my early years.
Join me in this journey to foster a supportive and informative environment where we can all learn, grow, and thrive together.
